Description
Grown in a nano lot under the shade, this coffee is the jewel in the crown of Finca EL OCASO. It is a difficult coffee to grow, prone to pest attack, low production, and vulnerable to the weather. But we have succeeded, we are here to share our best Gesha.
We are at 1,850 masl, with a cultivation system under the shade where natural nutrients are provided to the soil. Among the trees we have are the Tephrosias, Guamos, Nogales Cafetros, even trees in danger of extinction such as the Black Cedar. With the shade, we achieve that our coffee every day requires fewer chemical fertilizers, in addition to obtaining a slower maturation of the grain that will be the result of more sweetness and complexity in the cup.
The height above sea level at which coffee is grown allows it to develop a more intense acidity that is reflected in the final cup.
